WHOLE CHURCH MEETING 28TH MARCH

Looking forward to a great time as Alfreton, Clay Cross & Chesterfield groups will all be meeting together at the Winding Wheel this Sunday at 10.30am. Assuming we all remember to put our clocks forward that is! There is always a great buzz about the meeting when we all come together but this month it is extra special. We will be celebrating all the ladies among us, who together contribute so much to the life of our church community. Those who have become spiritual mothers, sisters, aunts and Nanas to many, not just their own families.

We also want to take time to honour George and Jane Bentley who will be leaving us to move nearer their daughter in beautiful Cullercotes. In their pastoral role they have been spiritual parents to many - including those older than themselves! As musicians they have led us in worship many times. Jane has had a tremendous influence on our Children’s ministry and George held our hands as we navigated the new technology over lockdown and used his video skills to good advantage on our behalf. Most notably there is the Umbrellas Cosy Hub, prayed for, envisioned, championed and tirelessly worked to bring into action by George and Jane with their team. Most of all I think we will just miss having them around as they are such a blessing to know.
