UKRAINE GIFT UPDATE

Thank you everyone for your generosity. We are happy to confirm that over £2,000 was given by NLC to help the Ukraine refugees. This money will reach the refugees in Poland through a couple in Krakov that Chris and Emily know well. Their church is helping Ukrainian refugees as they come over the border with little or nothing, providing all kinds of support which is much needed and will be ongoing while this terrible situation continues.

Adam and Del are taking a lead in keeping us linked in with what is happening as refugees make their way to Derbyshire. There is a regular meeting opportunity for the Ukrainian families and local people interested in supporting them at Central Methodist Church each Saturday 11am - 3pm.

We have also committed to praying regularly for an end to the conflict in Ukraine and to this end we meet on zoom each Monday to pray together for an hour. God has encouraged us to be faithful and consistent in prayer and I’m sure in the long term we will see that he answered all our prayers but even now with limited access to information we see answers to prayer almost weekly in the news.
