MAST NEWSLETTER

NLC have supported MAST financially over many years. The team do amazing work bringing the good news to schools not just in Matlock but across our area. Here is there latest newsletter...

As you will probably know, the pandemic lockdowns had a long and significant effect on the work of the Matlock Area Schools Trust and the ability of our school visitors to go into schools and conduct acts of collective worship / assemblies. Also during that time Michael Tinker and Zania Van Shalkwyk left the area for pastures new, and we did wonder if the trust was going to survive. However, the Lord gave us a very clear indication that this was not in His will, and also sent two new young Christians into the area who were eager to work with children in taking stories from the Bible into schools. This term Hannah Will and Chloe Clayson have begun to take up the ministry in some of our local schools and will soon be providing prayer requests and updates through a newsletter, which I am hoping will come direct from them to those who would like to receive it.

In the meantime I am pleased to be able to tell you that we will be holding a MAST service of thanksgiving on Sunday 3rd July, at 6.30 pm in Steep Turnpike Evangelical Church, Matlock and would very much like to see supporters and friends at the service to meet Chloe and Hannah and hear what they have been doing so far. Please also let other members of your fellowship know about this meeting so that Hannah, Chloe and the trustees can be supported by their prayers and also possibly their presence.
