NEWS FROM AGRA, INDIA

India

The full-time Bible school in Agra has made very good progress with 10 students. They approach the end of their course with enthusiasm, trained by our best leaders in the ministry. We are grateful for the donations that make it possible to give the students a good education. We will now also be able to equip the facility much better; this will make the course even more attractive.

After a shorter lockdown in January, life in India, as well as schools and churches, is back in full swing. Christians gather for prayer, for services, with great joy. And yet there is always a threat of persecution. One thing is clear though, people come to the meetings seeking truth, hope and answers. There they find and accept Christ.

The new Day-Care centres still need time to find their rhythm. In addition, the regularity of the children and the cooperation of the parents are required. These values still need to grow.

Progress is being made on the construction project for the toilet/bath block, with the new water tank on top which is to serve all of Sharonsthan. A baptismal tank will also be set up there in an unnoticed part of the campus, because baptisms in the open air have become extremely dangerous. One of the pastors in Agra experienced a miracle of God when his wife survived acute anemia and was able to give birth to a boy in the 8th month. Here, all Rays of Joy workers in India have not only came together in prayer, and also financially to meet the unexpected medical costs. We keep praying for the baby to pull through.

How much one had hoped and prayed that there would be a change in the state elections in Uttar Pradesh. However, leadership remains in the hands of those who publicly oppose Christians as well as Muslims. Our brothers and sisters in India need our full prayer support!
