HARVEST APPEAL FOR CHESTERFIELD FOODBANK

On Sunday 3rd October we are supporting the Chesterfield Foodbank Harvest Appeal by asking everyone to bring at least one item from their most needed shopping list to help restock the warehouse ahead of the demanding winter season. This is the food shopping list:

Long life fruit juice, tinned meat, tinned fish, uht milk, tinned rice pudding, small packets of tea bags, small jars of coffee, chocolate/ treat for children, soup

The stock of toiletries is also getting very low so any of the following would also be most welcome:

Shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, face cloths, sanitary ware.

“ Our pledge is to provide food to people in crisis free of charge and we are very grateful to all those who donate food enabling us to do this. There are also running costs to the foodbank to enable us to store and distribute the food, so if you are able to assist in any way with financial support too, that would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your support. “ (Roisin O’Gorman, Chesterfield Foodbank)

I am happy to continue collecting any items for the foodbank on the first Sunday of each month. So after 3rd October, it will be November 7th and December 5th.
