JOB VACANCIES AT HOPE HOUSE

Hope House (Chesterfield) – Night staff (3 posts) - closing date 11 February 2021

We’re a Christian charity looking for night staff for our new residential accommodation for vulnerable men in Chesterfield. 

Duties include the security, health and safety of the building and residents, practical day-to-day property management, ensuring residents comply with occupancy rules, assisting residents with benefits entitlements and supporting them to develop life skills needed to move on to successful independent living. The post involves lone working.

Experience of working with the homeless and/or in a residential setting is essential.

Successful enhanced DBS check will be required.

Hours of work will be 4.00pm to 00.30am (shift 1) and 00.00am to 08.30am (shift 2) including 30 minute unpaid break.  

Posts 1 and 2 are 5 shifts over 7 days (40 hours)

Post 3 is 4 shifts over 7 days (32 hours) plus relief for sickness and holidays. 

Weekend and bank/public holiday working will be essential.

Hourly rate: £9.20 per hour

Annual leave: 20 days plus 8 days in respect of public/bank holidays (pro-rata for post 3).
