DIDN'T WE HAVE A LOVELY TIME...

Yes we did have a great time on our church day out to Scarborough.  God gave us beautiful weather, just the right mix of sunshine and gentle breeze and he held back the thunderstorm until we were almost back home!  Martyn and Janet took the plunge and swam in the sea but the less intrepid enjoyed a paddle instead, built sandcastles or dug holes to sit in. 

Most of us travelled on John's Friendly Coach but it was good to have others drive up to join us on the beach.  The bonus for those on the coach was the in-flight entertainment of 'Bus Bingo' provided by Nick & Bev with the customary array of priceless prizes!  There was also the detour on the way back which gave excellent views of York Minster.

We ended a good day with the traditional fish and chips before heading home.  This time we foxed the seagulls by eating inside the restaurant! 

 It was a lovely church family day out.
