YOU ARE IN SAFE HANDS 24/11/13

God was really wanting us to know our security is in him this morning.  Peter brought a word that we are safe in God's hands.  Jesus does not plan to return for a church that is broken and hanging on.  He plans to return for a beautiful, radiant, spotless bride who has made herself ready.  We shouldn't be afraid or take offence when God brings correction or adjustment into our lives, it's part of the process.  We are in safe hands and we can trust in his love for us.

Dave reminded us there's more to life than what we can see with our natural eyes.  Jesus, the King of Kings chooses to live in us when we accept him as Lord, continually interceding for us before the Father and working in our lives to bring him glory.  The Holy Spirit becomes our teacher and guide, developing his fruit in our lives and gifting us supernaturally to accomplish our mission.

There is a whole spiritual realm which we are not normally able to see with our natural eyes - though some have.  The Bible tells us God instructs his angels to minister to those who will inherit salvation.  Elisha's servant saw just the powerful enemy army surrounding them until God opened his 'spiritual eyes' to see the armies of heaven, far more numerous, far greater who were protecting them.

‘Don’t be afraid,’ the prophet answered. ‘Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’   2 Kings 6:16

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.  1 John 4:4

We really are in a very safe pair of hands - the hands of our loving Father God.
